At Adaptive Psychology and Assessment, I believe in treating every person as a whole. I am dedicated to understanding and addressing a wide range of needs, using therapies tailored just for you. My goal is to help you overcome challenges and embrace a happier, healthier, and more fulfilling life.
I take a holistic approach to therapy, considering the physical, emotional, and social factors that can impact mental health. My goal is to help clients develop the skills and resilience they need to navigate life's challenges.
I have worked as a psychologist in various settings, including private practice, community mental health, group therapy, adult prevention and recovery care (PARC) residential services, education, workplace rehabilitation and recovery at work services. Before becoming a psychologist, I worked as a support worker in mental health services.

I am a friendly and compassionate psychologist. I aim to create a nonjudgmental, honest space where clients feel safe and heard. I support clients in reaching their goals and living more values-driven lives by increasing their insight, harnessing their strengths, and teaching and practising new skills. Collaboratively, I aim to address the root causes of concerns, ensuring sessions are both impactful and purposeful.
I draw on specialised training and experience from various modalities:
- Cognitive Processing Therapy.
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
- Motivational Interviewing.
I work with clients (ages 13+) focusing on social, emotional, and psychological issues, including anxiety, depression, personality disorders, self-esteem challenges, life stress, and trauma.
I work with both children (ages 6+) and adults for psychological testing and assessment, diagnosing developmental conditions such as Intellectual Disability, ADHD, Specific Learning Disorder (SLD), and other personalised assessment needs.
Therapy sessions are face-to-face, with the flexibility of Telehealth when required. Standard sessions run for 50 minutes.
A standard 50-minute consultation costs $215 (Please note the National Schedule of Suggested Fees 2024-2025 is $311).
Medicare rebates are available for referrals with a GP Mental Health Care Plan. You can then claim the rebate for 10 sessions per calendar year. The current rebate is $96.65, leaving an out-of-pocket fee of $118.35. To claim a Medicare rebate, you must also provide a valid Medicare card. Rebates will appear in your account usually within 24 hours. Bulk billing is not available at this clinic.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a widely used, evidence-based therapy that identifies and challenges negative thought patterns and behaviours. Through CBT, clients learn to develop healthier ways of thinking and behaving, leading to improved emotional regulation and coping strategies.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a mindfulness-based approach that encourages clients to accept their thoughts and feelings rather than fighting or feeling guilty for them. ACT helps individuals commit to actions that align with their values, promoting psychological flexibility and well-being.
Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) is a comprehensive therapy that combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness practices. Originally developed for individuals with borderline personality disorder, DBT is effective in treating a range of mental health conditions. It focuses on building skills in distress tolerance, emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness.
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a specialized form of cognitive-behavioral therapy designed for individuals who have experienced trauma. CPT helps clients understand and change how they think about the trauma, reducing its ongoing impact on their lives. It is particularly effective for treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Motivational Interviewing is a client-cantered approach that enhances motivation to change by exploring and resolving ambivalence. It is particularly useful for individuals struggling with substance use, health behaviours, or other lifestyle changes. This collaborative and empathetic style empowers clients to make meaningful changes based on their own values and goals.
Please note my phone and emails are only monitored on the days I work (Tuesday and Wednesday); I aim to respond as soon as possible.
